Silver carpet moths? Wash your floor with epsom salts before laying your new carpet and leave it to dry and you wont ever have a problem with carpet moths.
Curly carpet corners? Lay a wet cloth or towel on the curly bits and leave overnight
A shifting carpet? Glue sponge rubber on the edges of the carpet to stop it shifting
