How To Connect A Lever Pop Up Waste

  • The lever operated pop up waste is a series of levers connected through a hole in back of the basin mixer tap, down through the basin tap hole to the basin waste plug.
  • You pull the lever up to close the plug and you push the lever down to open the plug.
  • This lever system uses the same hole that the basin mixer tap uses so there is no need fo a second hole in the basin.
  • Although waste kits do come supplied with sealing gaskets it is always a good idea to apply bathroom silicone sealant to ensure a 100% seal between the basin and the waste unit.

Here is a diagram showing the lever rods connected.

The hole in the basin mixer is small and at the back so it will be hardly noticable should you decide not to install the lever system.
