How to make the most of precious space in a kitchenette

Have a look around your kitchen….. where can you improve on the use of limited space?
First thing you need to do is clear out anything you honestly don’t use. Like that popcorn maker or that gimmiky omlet folding pan. Toss them! Many things in our cluttered kitchens are not worth the space they occupy. You will be amazed at the amount of space you free up just by doing this.

Store things logically. Cooking utensils and oven mits near the stove, all types of crockery and glasses should be grouped and so should food.

If you’re sharing your small kitchen with others then you need to think about keeping kitchen traffic down. You will want to be able to prepare meals without tripping over someone as they grab a glass of milk, make commonly used items easily accessible

The best sinks for small kitchens are the undermount style in a granite counter. This way you can also use the counter around the sink as a preparation worktop.
